Introduction to Ultrasound in Obstetrics
Obstetric ultrasound requires the operator to undertake meticulous investigations using a blend of practical skills, theoretical knowledge and normal pattern recognition along with attention to detail in ultrasonic measurement techniques of the correct planes for gestational age assessment and well being.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This modular program is specifically designed for health
professionals including Obstetric Registrars, Midwives & Nurse Practitioners
who would like to become proficient in all the basic concepts of ultrasound
scanning in obstetrics. The first component is an on-line learning set of
Practical physical principle modules, which must be completed before presentation
for the second component - the 2 day practical workshop. All tuition is undertaken
in a highly personalised fashion with intensive "hands-on" practical sessions
allowing registrants to gain basic competencies in the most cost effective
manner.
