CAE Body Simulation Teaching Aids

Both the simulators are rich in educational experiences with high end 3D graphics and ultrasound case simulations to help shorten the "hand-eye" co-ordination learning curve.

"Arnie" has trans thoracic & trans-oesopageal probes for cardiac scanning simulation in normal & abnormal cases.

"Bob" has both of the above and the added bonus of abdominal scanning simulation with a curved array probe & multiple pathological cases

Blue Phantom Models

We have various types of phantoms to help establish skills in scanning and intervention techniques including:

• Transvaginal models depicting 1st trimester & ectopicpregnancy, along with a gynaecological pathology model.
• Interventional models include basic vascular, femoral & upper torso models for use with line placement & nerve block techniques.
• Thoracentesis training model for needle guidance techniques in the chest.

Last, but certainly not least - AIU developed training aids

We have developed and produced our own range of training aids which alow the user to gain & retain scanning concepts with ease. These include, but are limited to, a wide range of flashcards for various applications of ultrasound & flexible scale models of various vascular & organ anatomy.
