ACCREDITATION & CPD OVERVIEW
Accreditation and CPD points are a key part of our program of excellence. The courses offered here at the AIU are accredited by the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM). In Australia and New Zealand ASUM is the Gold Standard for setting and maintaining ultrasound practice. In addition, ASUM accreditation is recognised by various Colleges including: The Australian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM); The Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) and The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Our programs are accredited for Continuing Professional Education (CPD) points with all relevant medical colleges including ASUM, ASAR, RANZCR, RANZCOG, RACGP, RANZCP, ACRRM, ACEM, ANZCA, CICM, ASA, TANZ, RACS etc. Please check the particular accreditation for your particular course of interest.
CERTIFICATE IN CLINICIAN-PERFORMED ULTRASOUND (CCPU)
The CCPU is a credential awarded by the ASUM council to medical practitioners and represents a level of proficiency in image acquisition, optimisation and ultrasound skills that are relevant to the specialty area. Our courses are all accredited by the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM).
