Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound
This five day program is designed for all medical professionals with an interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound techniques.
The topics provide an overview of ultrasound pattern recognition in tendons and muscles and discussions on the avoidance of common inaccuracies encountered in practice. Particular emphasis is given to scanning protocols and “tips & hints” for obtaining high quality diagnoses. Practical tuition is in small group sessions using high resolution equipment and
Practising without time constraint to produce a report allows registrants to concentrate on their particular objectives. Each day will comprise of a practical demonstration and tuition on one area of interest.

- To provide an intensive practical training environment
- To provide an introduction to the anatomy and ultrasound examination of the shoulder and knee
- To provide a working knowledge of protocols in each of the above areas
- To allow registrants the opportunity to have questions on further areas of examination answered

ACEM | This course accredited for 40 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours as complying with ACEM standards and policies for Soft Tissue Ultrasound, Joint Dislocation, Fracture Surveillance, Arthrocentesis (guided by Ultrasound).
