Point of Care Ultrasound Refresher - 3 Day Course
DESCRIPTION
This course has been specifically designed to address the needs of any practitioners who have previous practical ultrasound experience but feel the need for review. The aim is to improve your existing ultrasound skills and problem solving techniques.
NB: This course is suitable for those clinicians who have completed a basic course (even if it was years ago) and have had reasonable levels of ‘hands-on’ experience. It is NOT suitable for those with NO previous training. This course aims to improve your understanding and use of ultrasound to answer clinical questions and acquire better images.

Run over 3-days, this course will re-ignite your confidence in the clinical ultrasound world. Including 14 hours of “hands-on” practical tuition on volunteers with varying degrees of difficulty.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Our aim is to have you scanning and making sound clinical decisions by the end of the course using Point of Care ultrasound.
ACCREDITATION & APPROVALS
ACEM | This course accredited for 23.5 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours as complying with ACEM standards and policies for AAA, eFAST, BELS, Vascular Access, Pregnancy (1st trimester), Lung, Pleural Effusion, Hepatobiliary, Renal Tract.
ACRRM | This course is approved for 21 total activity hours. PDP units: 15 Educational Activity. Grant eligibility: Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Obstetrics, Surgery.
ANZCA | Participants in the ANZCA and FPM CPD program may claim this this course under the Knowledge and skills activity Short format learning at 2 credits per hour
