Terms & Conditions

General Information

We aim to provide high-quality tuition with low student: tutor ratios at an affordable price. Below are some of our terms and conditions:

Early registration is advisable since all classes are limited in size to maintain a low student: tutor ratio.

Registration is confirmed on a “first come, first served” basis of paid fees. Please call if late payments or special arrangements are required.


Course Fees

All course fees are payable a minimum of 45 days before the course start date.

For last minute bookings made within 45 days of the course commencement, a credit card payment is required unless other arrangements have been negotiated.

Tailored courses – 50% due on date of invoice (non refundable), remainder due 45 days before date of course.

Tuition fees for most courses include pre-course materials, morning tea, and a light lunch.

Tuition fees are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST.


Confirmation

Upon receipt of full payment, you will receive a confirmation of your guaranteed place on the course, together with a receipt and full administrative details.

If your registration is not accompanied by full payment, you will receive an email confirming a provisional place on the nominated program pending full payment, with an invoice and full administrative details.


Course Cancellation by Customer

More than 30 days notice of cancellation:

  • Full refund of course price (Please note the refund will not include any bank merchant fees, if payment was made by credit card) OR
  • reschedule for another date.

Less than 30 days notice of cancellation:

  • Non-refundable
  • we will, however, be happy to provide a one-time transfer to another date for the same program/same person OR
  • we will permit a substitute student to the original booking.

Tuition payments received less than 30 days before a program start date are non-refundable and limited to a one-time transfer for the same program/same person.

Once the program has commenced, no refund of tuition fees is possible under any circumstances.

Australian Institute of Ultrasound will not be responsible for any travel and/or accommodation reimbursements.
Australian Institute of Ultrasound reserves the right to change its policies at any time without notice.

Course Cancellation by AIU

If for any reason AIU has to cancel a course, regardless of notice, the customer can transfer to a course of equivalent value or receive an unconditional refund of the full registration fee.


Disruptive, Unsafe, or Unprofessional Conduct

AIU reserves the right to exclude or remove any person from registering for, or participating in, any physical or online/virtual event if, in our sole discretion, we determine that your behaviour is disruptive, poses a safety risk, violates applicable laws or event policies, or hinders the event’s purpose or the experience of other attendees. Any actions deemed harassing, discriminatory, or unprofessional, or that compromise the integrity or security of event materials or platforms, may also result in exclusion or removal.


Terms and Conditions: 5% Discount Sale

Effective Date: 22 January 2025
Promotion End Date: 16 February 2025

By using the promotional code AIU30YRS, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility

  1. The 5% discount is valid for all courses scheduled in 2025, excluding obstetric ultrasound courses.
  2. Bookings must be made between 22 January 2025 and 16 February 2025 to qualify.
  3. The discount must be applied at the time of booking using the promotional code AIU30YRS.
  4. The code may be shared with colleagues but is not transferable to future promotions or bookings made outside the promotional period.

Exclusions

  1. Obstetric ultrasound courses are not eligible for this promotion.
  2. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotions, discounts, or offers.

Payment

  1. Full payment or the required deposit must be made at the time of booking to secure the discount.
  2. Standard payment terms and conditions apply to all bookings.

Transfers and Cancellations

  1. If a discounted booking is canceled, the following conditions apply:
    • Before 16 February 2025: The discount can be retained if the transfer is completed to an eligible course within the promotional period.
    • After 16 February 2025: Transfers will not retain the discount, and the new course will be charged at full price.
  2. Transfers to ineligible courses (e.g., obstetric ultrasound) will be charged at the standard full price.
  3. Cancellation and transfer fees, as outlined in AIU’s standard terms, will apply.

Changes to Courses

  1. AIU reserves the right to reschedule, cancel, or modify courses as necessary. In such cases, clients will be notified promptly, and alternative arrangements will be offered where possible.
  2. If AIU cancels a course, clients may transfer to another course of equal value and retain the discount if the transfer is within the promotional period.

Promotion Duration

  1. The promotional code AIU30YRS is valid from 22 January 2025 to 16 February 2025.
  2. Bookings made after 16 February 2025 will not qualify for the discount.

General

  1. AIU reserves the right to amend or terminate the promotion at any time without prior notice.
  2. This promotion and any disputes arising from it are governed by the laws of Australia.
