Visiting AIU on the Gold Coast
AIU’s ultrasound training centre is located at 2 Miami Key, Broadbeach Waters, QLD 4218.
Our training centre is situated just west of the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, off T E Peters Drive. It is close to Broadbeach accommodation, cafés, restaurants, shopping and the beach, making it convenient for both local and travelling participants.
Whether you are planning ahead before booking or preparing for an upcoming course, the information below will help you find your way to AIU and plan your arrival.
Please note: parking arrangements differ for course participants and volunteers. Limited on-site parking is reserved for volunteers attending our training sessions. Course participants should refer to the parking information below.
From Gold Coast Airport
AIU is approximately 20 minutes by car from Gold Coast Airport, depending on traffic.
Public transport and airport transfer options are also available between the airport and Broadbeach. We recommend checking current routes and travel times before you arrive.
From Brisbane Airport
AIU is approximately 1 hour by car from Brisbane Airport, depending on traffic.
Train services are available from Brisbane Airport to the Gold Coast. Nerang is the closest major train station to AIU, with connecting bus, taxi and rideshare options available from there.
We recommend checking current public transport routes and travel times when planning your trip.
Driving to AIU
From the north
Travelling south along the Gold Coast Highway, turn right at the lights for T E Peters Drive, immediately after the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Continue through the roundabout and over the bridge. At the roundabout immediately after the bridge, turn left into Miami Key, then left again into the office park where AIU is located.
From the south
Travelling north along the Gold Coast Highway, turn left at the lights for T E Peters Drive, after The Star Gold Coast and before the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Continue through the roundabout and over the bridge. At the roundabout immediately after the bridge, turn left into Miami Key, then left again into the office park where AIU is located.
Parking and arrival information
Parking arrangements differ depending on whether you are attending AIU as a course participant or as a volunteer.
Course Participants
On-site parking is not available for course participants. As parking spaces at AIU are limited, these spaces are reserved for volunteers attending our training sessions.
The closest paid parking option for course participants is available at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, which is a short walk from AIU.
Undercover short-term parking is available for a daily flat rate. The venue is cashless.

Volunteers
Limited on-site parking is available for volunteers attending AIU training sessions.
