Course Dates
Description
The Return to Clinical Practice (RTCP) – 3-Day Program is an ASAR-approved course for sonographers returning to clinical ultrasound after an extended absence.
This program fulfils the 3-day course requirement under the ASAR Return to Clinical Practice Guidelines. Completion of the full pathway also requires a workplace-based clinical placement and assessment, arranged separately in line with ASAR requirements.
The course focuses on refreshing core scanning skills, rebuilding confidence, and supporting safe return to clinical practice through hands-on practical scanning and targeted theory review.

- Abdominal & Renal (KUB)
- Gynaecological Pelvis
- Obstetrics
- Vascular (Carotid & DVT)
- Small Parts (Breast & Thyroid)
- Musculoskeletal (Shoulder & Hip)
Pre-course learning includes an online Physics & Instrumentation module to support readiness for in-person training.

This course fulfils ASAR requirements as an Approved Course for the Return to Clinical Practice programme as a three-day course. It is expected the learner will complete the Return to Clinical Practice programme and clinical assessment in the workplace with their Supervisor.
